Mary Sibande presents her first institutional solo exhibition in the UK, titled I Came Apart at The Seams at Somerset House in London.

I Came Apart at The Seams is an overview of Sibande’s practice, comprising of historical and new photographic and sculptural pieces from key series in Sibande’s production, namely- Long Live the Dead Queen (2009-13), The Purple Shall Govern (2013-17) and I Came Apart at the Seams (2019-).

The exhibition opens on Thursday 3 October 2019 at the Terrace Rooms in the South Wing of Somerset House, London, UK, and coincides with the opening of 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair.
