Galia Gluckman was born in 1973 in Tel Aviv, Israel; she currently lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa. Gluckman first qualified as a fashion designer and operated between London, UK and New York City, USA before returning to fine arts.
In 2019, Gluckman presented her solo presentation, cellular state at SMAC Gallery in Cape Town, South Africa. Further solo exhibitions include Metas (boundaries) and Ora (edge), at CIRCA Gallery in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, both in 2018.

In 2020 Gluckman participated in SMAC Gallery’s group presentation at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair, as well as A Show of Solidarity, a group exhibition at SMAC Gallery, both in Cape Town, South Africa. In the same year she exhibited works as part of SMAC Gallery’s presentation at FNB Art Joburg at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa and the Investec Cape Town Art Fair in Cape Town South Africa. Galia’s works were recently included in That was Then, a group exhibition at SMAC Gallery in Cape Town, South Africa.
In 2018 Gluckman presented solo shows, She participated in a number of group exhibitions in 2018, namely WINTER and SUMMER Exhibition, both at Everard Read in London as well as Back to the Future III: Abstract Art in South Africa, Past and Present at SMAC Gallery in Stellenbosch.
