Giovanni Ozzola was born in Florence, Italy in 1982. He currently lives and works in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Starting his career in 2001 as part of the group show; Happiness: A Survival Guide for Art and Life, curated by David Elliott and Pier Luigi Tazzi, at the Mori Art Museum of Tokyo in Japan; Giovanni Ozzola has since exhibited world-wide.
In 2019, Ozzola presented two solo exhibitions; If I Had to Explain, You Wouldn’t Understand at the Fosun Foundation in Shanghai, China, and the lake of the unknown at SMAC Gallery in Johannesburg, South Africa. Further selected solo exhibitions include: Algo Tuyo y Mío at Centro Fundación UNICAJA in Malaga, Spain in 2018; Rutas de Sangre at Claustros del convento de San Francisco de Asis, Basilica Menor, in Havana, Cuba in 2018; and Relitti e camere con stelle, curated by Davide Ferri at Untitled Association- Lynchen in Berlin, Germany in 2017.
